H1N1

Lately, H1N1 has been spreading like rain. 569 new cases and 1 death reported yesterday bringing the total of fatalities to 68. 35 patients are in intensive care unit, so do expect the fatalities count to rise.

It was shocking to get a news yesterday stating that a school can only be given holiday if 500 students were infected with H1N1 in that particular school. And this is only applicable for those who does not involve in any examination. UPSR and PMR are coming soon, does that mean infected student still need to attend the examination?

Last Wednesday, a teacher from SMK USJ12 passed away due to pneumonia which is rumored to be infected with H1N1 but later confirmed it was not due to H1N1. However, the attendance decrease drastically. Now, there is only 1 teacher passed away with H1N1 alike death and the attendance already become so bad. How can you wait until 500 of your students to be infected?

How can we contained SARS so well few years back, and not this time. Whose failure is this? Civilians or Health Organizations? Anyway, take your own action to prevent H1N1 infection and help to stop H1N1 from spreading
